Privacy notice

Greywake is designed to minimize unnecessary data collection. Most public applications run entirely in the browser and store working data locally on the device through browser storage. That local data is not automatically transmitted to Greywake.

Information submitted through the contact form

The contact form may collect a name, email address, organization, area of interest, and project context. Netlify processes the form submission so Greywake can review and respond. Do not submit passwords, protected health information, payment-card data, government identifiers, or other sensitive information.

Application data

Several workbench applications support local storage, imports, exports, printing, audio recording, or file generation. These functions are initiated by the user. Clearing browser data, changing devices, or using private browsing may remove locally stored records.

Microphone access

The Vocal & Pitch Studio requests microphone permission only after user action. Audio processing occurs in the browser. Recordings are created locally and are not uploaded by the application.

Public API Explorer

The Public API Explorer sends browser-originated requests only to public HTTPS endpoints entered by the user. It does not accept credentials, custom authorization headers, private-network addresses, or server-side forwarding.

NOAA tide requests

The Tide & Moon Planner sends the selected NOAA station ID, date range, datum, time basis, and units directly from the browser to the NOAA CO-OPS API. NOAA receives the request under its own systems and policies. Greywake does not proxy the request or receive the tide response.

Household, vehicle, camping, pet, hobby, fandom, and prompt records

These applications may contain personal planning information, contacts, vehicle or camping details, maintenance history, pet records, fishing logs, quilt plans, collection lists, episode notes, or other private records. Data remains in browser storage unless the user copies, prints, or exports it. Users should avoid entering secrets, regulated records, copyrighted media they are not authorized to reproduce, or information they are not authorized to process.

Public IP and speed-test requests

The Public IP & Internet Speed Check contacts ipify for public-address lookup and Cloudflare for latency, download, and upload test traffic only after user action. Those external providers necessarily receive the user’s public IP and ordinary request metadata under their own systems and policies. Greywake does not proxy or receive the test traffic. Completed test history is stored locally in the browser unless cleared or exported.

Portfolio preferences and recent tools

The application library may use browser local storage to remember favorites and recently opened Greywake tools. These records contain application identifiers and access times only; they do not contain the values entered into an application. They remain on the device until browser data is cleared.

Cookies and analytics

This package does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Browser local storage may save application state and favorite selections.

Greywake Data Center and local usage evidence

The Greywake Data Center reads only this site origin’s browser storage. Backup creation, compatibility review, restore, and deletion occur locally. Exported backup files may contain the exact application records selected by the user and should be protected accordingly.

This package can retain a bounded local usage-evidence record containing event labels, application identifiers, timestamps, and aggregate counts. It does not record form values, prompts, financial amounts, IP addresses, or application record contents, and it does not transmit analytics data. The feature can be disabled and cleared in the Data Center.

New planning, music, trade, and data tools

The HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, garden, meal, travel, household-inventory, music, decision-journal, and CSV tools process user-entered information locally in the browser unless the user exports it. CSV source files are parsed locally and are not uploaded by the application. Travel and household inventory records may be sensitive; exports should be stored and shared securely. The music tools include no bundled copyrighted songs, lyrics, recordings, or scores.

Sanitized client diagnostics

Site v6.2.0 can store a bounded local log of browser script, promise, and resource failures. Records contain time, route, site or app version, failure type, and a shortened browser error message. The log does not intentionally record form values, prompts, financial inputs, health details, application records, passwords, API credentials, or IP addresses.

No diagnostic record is transmitted automatically. You can review, copy, download, or clear it in the Support Center. A support submission includes diagnostics only when you select that option.

Support form

The Support Center uses a Netlify form for issue reports. Submitted fields can include contact email, application selection, expected result, actual behavior, and optional sanitized diagnostics. Do not submit confidential records or regulated data.

Measurement

Aggregate use and reliability only.

Greywake may use deployment-level aggregate analytics and monitoring to understand page traffic, application launches, form completion, 404 routes, availability, and technical failure categories. Application inputs, prompts, financial values, audio, imported files, IP-test results, and local backups are not intended analytics content.

The public package contains no advertising trackers. Most application working data remains in browser storage and is not automatically transmitted to Greywake.
